About Variety Fruits and Vegetables

Variety Produce...quality for the most discerning customers: Variety Produce located in the heart of the Oxnard basin has been growing and distributing fresh fruits and vegetables for over 35 years.

Unique Location
Variety Produce farms are in the fertile Oxnard basin. The Oxnard basin is some of the most fertile soil in the world. The deep, rich top soil and the mild mediterrainean climate make the Oxnard basin suitable for growing almost anything!

Produce experts
Variety's personnel are produce people. We understand quality and how to deliver perfect produce. We have taken our obsession with freshness to the next level. Our harvest to order operation eliminates ninety percent of the problems associated with produce. The large growers and produce wholesalers spend millions trying to keep old produce fresh...we decided to go the other way...we have designed our operation to ensure freshness!

Variety means Variety
In conjuction with our Latin American partner farms we have created our own consortium of farmers committed to the same concept. By eliminating the middle men we know when our produce delivers it is the freshest it can possibly be. It does not sit in some warehouse waiting for a produce broker to sell it to a wholesaler, who sells it to a chain store, who sells it to you!

Freshness means on-time delivery
Variety Produces strives for perfect order fulfillment. We learn your customers and their needs. Your sales staff will think of us as an extension of your staff because our commitment to servicing your accounts is unquestioned.

Refrigerated trucks and cold chain management
To further ensure the quality of our produce and prompt service we have expanded our refrigerated trucking capacity. From the time the produce is harvested and cooled it is maintained at temperature until it delivers to your doorstep. We found when we sold our produce to 3rd parties we never know the conditions it was transported in or stored in...and it reflected poorly on our label. We own the land, the production, the coolers and the refrigerated trucks...we can't blame a bad result on anyone; therefore, we must perform!
